Schlegel Sports is a sports and entertainment investment company, former owners of the Tacoma Rainiers.
With the Rainiers, the Triple-A Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, Schlegel Sports was instrumental in securing the final $31 million of a $36 million renovation project to transform 50-year old Cheney Stadium into the best venue in the Pacific Northwest.  The upgrades include new seating for 8,000 fans, 16 luxury suites, a kids play area, more restrooms and concession stands, and a new club level restaurant. The Rainiers broke the 50-year old All-Time Attendance record, while capturing the Pacific Coast League Pacific North Division pennant in 2009.  In 2010, the Rainiers became Pacific Coast League Champions for the second time in the team's history.  The new Cheney Stadium venue was completed and unveiled in time for the Rainiers' home opener in April, 2011.  After winning the 3rd PCL Championship, the team was sold in 2011.
Specializing in team operations, with an emphasis on revenue maximization and turn-around projects, we also offer consulting services catered around stadium negotiation and development, corporate partnerships and ticket sales, and enhancement of the fan experience.
