Carol Sonnenberg

Director of Administration

Carol Sonnenberg joined Strategic Sports in June of 2007 as the Assistant to the Chairman and Director of Administration and Travel. She now serves as the Director of Business Development and is instrumental in securing additional revenue streams, as well as bringing business opportunities and investments to the company. Carol is responsible for planning Super Bowl events, athlete events, charity events, and corporate events. She handles sponsorship sales, corporate travel, private aviation, marketing, public relations, website management and corporate communications. Her background includes serving as President of her own firm, Celebrity Consulting, specializing in providing travel, concierge and executive assistant services to athletes, celebrities, and high profile executives since January of 2003. Some of her previous clients include Daryl Johnston, Chad Hennings, Kevin Costner, Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, Nick Lachey, Jenny McCarthy, Carmen Electra, Michael Strahan, Mike Modano, Marty Turco, Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. She formerly was Director of Client Relations of Southwest Sports Group handling clients in film, music, entertainment, and professional athletes. She served as the Executive Director of the Mike Modano Foundation where she handled all fundraising, events, celebrity entertainment and management. Prior to that in 1999, Carol worked for Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst, a private equity investment firm and transferred to Southwest Sports Group in January of 2000. Carol gained considerable exposure to the nonprofit community while working for Philanthropist Lyda Hill (granddaughter of H. L. Hunt) for ten years. She’s been heavily involved in charity events, meeting and event planning, throughout her career. Other organizations in which she has played an active role include Dallas Women’s Forum, Committee of 200, Charter 100, YPO, & WPO. After working for Real Estate Developers in the early 1980's, Carol obtained a Texas Real Estate License and earned her Real Estate Degree in Dallas in 1986. She is a past president of the Texas YPO Secretaries. Carol has lived and worked in the Dallas area since 1974.
